Resilient leadership in an age of crisis

As the severity and number of conflicts grows, extreme weather events increase and public trust in government weakens, strong leadership is needed to face the myriad of challenges confronting the global system. In recent years, young people have asserted themselves on the world stage with more energy and vision than their national and international leaders.

What does it take to lead within a system that undervalues young voices? What skills will future leaders need to navigate the challenges they will face? In this roundtable, Common Futures Conversations and the Future Leaders Network London will bring together a diverse group of young people to discuss the skills, vision and preparation that will be most useful as they come into positions of greater power and influence.

To attend, please complete this short application form by 23:59 on Saturday 13 May 2023!

Where? FLN’s London Office, (EC2, London - you’ll receive the full address in your Joining Instructions!)

Who? Young people aged 18-30 years who are passionate about youth leadership and want to make a positive difference in the world today.

Great leaders inspire and motivate others to take action in pursuit of a common, wider goal. They understand the "Power of Why".

But what about you? Do you know your personal 'Why'? Are you clear about the impact you’d like to have on the world, or why other people should be led by you?

We know these can seem like big questions - so big, you might not even want to start trying to answer them. But if you want to change the world, starting off with you, your purpose and your calling is the only way to do it.
And… we’ve got you covered! We’re a non-profit organisation aimed at discovering and developing the next generation of leaders in the U.K. We’re passionate about equipping young people with the experiences, skills, and networks they need to become effective, ethical leaders who affect positive change in the world… and we’re offering you a 1 day training programme where you can explore and discover your Personal Purpose!

Virtual Breakfast Club- COVID 19, A gendered issue?

Friday, September 18, 2020

  • 8:30 AM 9:30 AM

Join us for our next virtual Breakfast Club where we’ll be discussing COVID-19 as a Gendered Issue!

With an increase in domestic violence, the added workload on mothers balancing childcare whilst working from home, and the front-line care workforce being predominantly female during the pandemic, we’ll be discussing some of the ways in which women have been affected by COVID-19. We’ll also be examining the other side of the COVID-19 gender gap that has led to a higher death rate among men with very little insight into why. How can we alleviate the differing pressures on men and women during this pandemic?
